Klipsch Debuts Reference Premiere Powered Monitor
New model features classic Reference Premiere design and new Tractrix horn technology in a compact system designed for music and home entertainment.
DENVER, CO (Sept. 2, 2026) — Klipsch, celebrating 80 legendary years, announces the first powered monitor in the Reference Premiere Series with the global debut of the RP-500PM Powered Monitor during CEDIA Expo in Denver, CO. Drawing on eight decades of acoustic expertise, the RP-500PM monitors deliver high-resolution, room-filling sound with the convenience of an all-in-one design.
The Klipsch RP-500PM features the new high-density axial Tractrix® horn tweeter with upgraded BMC material to reduce resonance, flush-mounted to the cabinet to minimize wave breakup and measurably improve off-axis response for a wider sweet spot. The 5.25-inch Cerametallic™ woofer is engineered to deliver powerful low-frequency performance and surprisingly deep bass from a compact design. The built-in amplifiers are matched to each driver to maximize performance, eliminating the need for an external receiver and delivering a complete stereo system right out of the box. For listeners who need more bass, a dedicated subwoofer output makes it easy to add a Klipsch Reference Premiere subwoofer or new Reference Premiere Compact design.
Built for easy out-of-the-box setup and everyday versatility, the RP-500PM includes HDMI ARC, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, optical, RCA line-level, phono, and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs to support virtually any source, including TVs, turntables, computers, gaming consoles, and mobile devices. The included IR remote provides simple control over volume, play/pause, and input switching.
The RP-500PM features the iconic black-and-copper design of Klipsch’s Reference Premiere series, with a floating cloth grille, textured wood-grain cabinet, and copper woofer with matching trim ring. This model is compatible with the KS-28 stand from Klipsch.
The RP-500PM will be available in December (North America) from Klipsch.com and all authorized Klipsch retailers.
