RALEIGH, NC (August 7, 2026) – Klipsch, a pioneer in premium audio for 80 years, today announced the global debut of its new Reference PrReference Premiere Compact Subwoofersemiere Compact Subwoofers at Audio Advice Live 2026 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Designed for today’s living spaces, media rooms, and dedicated listening environments, the new RP-1600CSW, RP-1400CSW, and RP-1200CSW deliver the powerful, high-output bass expected from Klipsch Reference Premiere subwoofers, from sealed enclosures that occupy about half the footprint of the full-sized RP subwoofers. 

Designed and engineered in the USA, the Reference Premiere Compact Subwoofers draw on eight decades of Klipsch acoustic expertise. Each model combines a rigid sealed enclosure, a high-excursion front-firing Cerametallic™ woofer, a precision analog preamplifier, and a high-efficiency Class D amplifier to deliver clean, articulate bass with surprisingly impressive depth and output. The RP Compact Subs, designed for both stereo and home theater applications, seamlessly integrate with Klipsch loudspeakers or any system that needs more bass. The new compact subwoofers extend low-frequency performance by up to one octave, to add greater impact and realism to music, movies, and gaming without sacrificing valuable floor space.

Reference Premiere Compact Subwoofers offer extensive system integration and tuning options while keeping setup straightforward. Rear-panel controls include adjustable crossover, phase, and gain settings with high-contrast labeling for improved visibility during installation. Engineered to deliver serious bass, the RP Compact Subs feature a gain control that goes to 11. The neighbors should be warned. 

Connectivity includes line-level/LFE RCA inputs and a dedicated wireless input compatible with the optional Klipsch WA-2 Wireless Subwoofer Kit, providing added convenience and exceptional placement flexibility. The RCA and wireless inputs can also be used simultaneously, allowing a single subwoofer to support multiple systems in the same room. 

The RP Compact Subwoofers carry the distinctive styling of the Reference Premiere family, featuring a scratch-resistant Ebony vinyl finish, signature copper accents, rounded cabinet edges, shock-absorbing rubber feet, and a floating fabric grille that fits seamlessly into modern home entertainment spaces.
