Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Lou Reed once said, "If I hadn't heard rock and roll on the radio, I would have had no idea there was life on this planet."

An undeniable truth comes through in Lou's music-a gritty passion mixed with beautiful surrealism. You can hear it with your gut as much as your ears.

That's exactly why we teamed up with the legendary singer/songwriter/musical novelist to bring you the Signature Audio Edition Lou Reed X10i.

With aesthetics chosen by the mastermind himself and unsurpassed Klipsch quality, it's a product he doesn't just get behind -- he puts his name on it. Literally. Each package comes complete with an actual Lou Reed autograph.

But we won't put words in his mouth. Instead we quote Lou, who says, "I have been a fan of Klipsch for eons. I enjoy the beauty of the unhyped bass-the clarity and depth of detail and extraordinary comfort of the headphones. These are my Klipsch. Serious headphones for the serious listener."

  • What is the difference between “S” headphones and “X” headphones?”

The S-family of headphones (S3m, S4, S4i, S4A) all using dynamic moving-coil drivers (similar to your typical speaker woofers), while the X-family of headphones (X4i, X6i, X7i, XR8i, X11i, X12i and X20i) all use balanced armatures. So how do you decide what’s best for you? If you’re in the mood for a full soundstage and thumping but tight bass, and you’re on somewhat of a budget, we recommend the S-family. If you’re looking for clear, crisp, impeccable detail with warmth in the lower octaves like you’ve never heard before, the X-family might be more your cup of tea.

  • What is a balanced armature speaker?

A balanced armature is the tiny specialized speaker that’s inside your headphones. You have one for each ear and they turn electrical signals into acoustical sound waves. Like a traditional speaker, an armature features an internal diaphragm that’s driven by an electromagnetic motor system to produce sound. Armature benefits include: smaller size, higher output, extended frequency response and improved high frequency detail compared to a traditional moving coil speaker.

  • Do you have out of warranty repair options for your headphones?

Due to the size and nature of our headphones, we unfortunately do not have a non-warranty repair option.
