BiAmp systems are either:
2-Way speakers designed to have both system components (High Frequency/Low Frequency sections) individually powered by two separate amplifier channels. This configuration allows for both input level adjustment and the application of precise electronic crossover frequencies and time alignment for all system components on an individual basis.
OR
4-Way OR 3-Way systems equipped with a Klipsch Passive Processor that allows the four system components (High Frequency/Mid Frequency/Mid Bass and Low Frequency sections) OR three system components (High Frequency/Mid Frequency and Low Frequency sections) to be powered by two separate amplifier channels. This system type still allows some flexibility to set input levels and electronic crossover frequencies with a less complicated setup requiring two (versus three or four) wire runs due to a reduced number of amplifiers being used
As the first full three-way passive behind-the-screen system on the market the KPT-435-B affords the ultimate in audio performance for small- and medium-sized venues.
Unlike many three-way behind-the-screen systems the KPT-335-B is 12.25 inches in depth making it one of the most compact performers in its class. Engineered to save space and deliver superior sound to smaller-sized venues the KPT-335-B serves as a high-output single 15-inch three-way system. It features the KPT-315-LF for enhanced bass output and the same KPT-335 HF/MF configuration as the larger KPT-435-B for the critical dialogue range.
Choose bi-amp or mono-amp configuration by simply changing the wiring of the crossover network.
The THX®-Certified KPT-942-B is a high-performance two-way screen and stage loudspeaker system well suited to medium-sized auditoriums. Based on the proven KPT-904-LF dual 15-inch bass unit it delivers powerful bass from a cabinet just 24 inches deep.
For high output combined with excellent coverage the system uses a KPT-402-HF Tractrix® Horn with a K-1132 two-inch exit titanium compression driver to reproduce middle and high frequencies. The KPT-942-B is also available, using a passive crossover, in a mono-amp configuration called the KPT-942-M.
The four-way KPT-MCM-II is now offered with a passive crossover network for operation in a bi-amp configuration. The ultimate behind-the screen system can now be powered with less amplification, using less wiring and with reduced install and setup time in a new or retrofit application.
The KPT-745-B is designed to generate similar movie chills and thrills as the KPT-MCM-II, but from a much shallower cabinet to fit a limited depth area behind a screen in a grand auditorium. The passive processor reduces the amplifier count to two and that bi-amp configuration reduces wiring runs and the labor time for installation.
Designed to thoroughly deliver digital soundtracks to small to medium sized auditoriums, the KPT-445-B is now offered with a passive crossover for bi-amping. Reduced amplifier numbers leading to reduced wiring lengths generating reduced labor hours makes it a perfect solution on a more-restricted budget.
The KPT-535/4-B is an enhanced version of the KPT-535-T with a KPT-415-LF quad 15-inch direct-radiating bass unit for greater output in large auditoriums. With higher output it still retains a shallow 24-inch depth to accommodate limited behind the screen areas.
Its three-way design with its bi-amp configuration using a passive crossover system also reduces wire runs and simplifies setup. Dialogue is flawlessly reproduced with a KPT-402-MF Tractrix® Horn fronting a K-1133 two-inch exit titanium compression driver, and a KPT-Grand-HF-T Tractrix® Horn ensures smooth effortless treble reproduction.
Embracing the concept of a three-way direct radiated bass system in a behind-the-screen application the KPT-535-B utilizes the KPT-904/940-LF double 15-inch low frequency system for clean, powerful output in a system that is still only 24 inches in depth.
The KPT-402 mid-bass Tractrix® Horn coupled to the Klipsch K-1133 two-inch-exit titanium compression driver precisely reproduces even the softest dialogue with perfect clarity. The high frequencies are easily handled by the Grand-HF-T Tractrix Horn.
The THX®-Certified KPT-942/4-B two-way screen and stage loudspeaker system is based on our new KPT-415-LF quad 15-inch bass unit providing enhanced bass output while retaining the 24-inch depth of our smaller systems. Higher frequencies are handled by a KPT-402-HF Tractrix® Horn with a K-1132 two-inch exit titanium compression driver.
The KPT-942/4-B's high efficiency very high output and excellent coverage characteristics make it an outstanding cost-effective solution for medium and large auditoriums.
A truly exceptional sounding mid-sized screen and stage loudspeaker system, the KPT-904-B is especially suited for stadium seating.
An advanced technology Tractrix® Horn, the KPT-904-HF is mated to the KDE-75-8P titanium compression driver and together with the dual 15-inch low frequency cabinet delivers sensational performance and accurate coverage control all at a remarkable price. The KPT-904-B is also available with a passive crossover for a mono-amp configuration as the KPT-904-M.
Engineered to save space, the new KPT-325-B is only 12-inches in depth.
The system features the KPT-315-LF single 15-inch woofer enclosure coupled with the KPT-904-HF Tractrix® Horn. Amazingly this compact combination delivers the same frequency response as the KPT-904-B system. The KPT-325-B is also available for a mono-amp configuration utilizing a passive crossover (KPT-325-M).
