INDIANAPOLIS (October 3, 2013) — Klipsch, a leading global speaker and headphone manufacturer, announces today the launch of its Klipsch Music Center KMC 1, which joins the in-market Klipsch Music Center KMC 3 as the brand’s second Bluetooth® speaker offering.

The Klipsch Music Center product line commemorates the brand’s partnership with Live Nation Entertainment and its sponsorship of the Klipsch Music Center amphitheater—one of the five most ticketed live music venues in the world—in its global headquarter city of Indianapolis. Designed to take the concert anywhere, the series of wireless music speakers connect listeners with their favorite artists.

Small in stature, the Bluetooth wireless technology enabled KMC 1 system, available in eight vibrant colors, offers aesthetically pleasing soft-feel paint, touch-sensitive controls as well as aptX® technology for decoding lossless, audiophile quality sound when paired to aptX-enabled smart devices. With dual 2.5” (6.35cm) full range drivers enhanced by dual 3” (7.62cm) passive radiators, the KMC 1 system delivers remarkably authentic and dynamic sound with full, rich bass at any volume level. Completing the lifelike music experience is 40 Watts of peak system power enhanced by the advanced DSP equalization.

The KMC 1 system keeps smartphones and tablets charged via a USB port and also plays virtually any non-Bluetooth enabled music source through its 3.5mm input. In addition, it remembers up to eight previously connected Bluetooth enabled devices for quick and painless reconnection. Operating on its internal lithium-ion battery with an 8-hour capacity, this wireless system can reproduce superior quality music all day, wherever you go.

“This product launch is evidence of our undeniable passion and commitment to deliver portable, high-quality music systems that produce Klipsch caliber sound,” said Paul Jacobs, CEO of Klipsch. “As our second wireless music speaker, the KMC 1 represents our continuation to revolutionize the way individuals share the listening experience with one another.”

Now available in a black and white finish with additional color options due out in December 2013, the Klipsch Music Center KMC 1 includes a power supply with interchangeable international plug adapters as well as a 3.5mm to 3.5mm 1M cable. The product retails for $299.99 (U.S. MSRP) and is now available at authorized retailers and
