A RVX-42 integra-se bem com telas de plasma ou LCD de 42 polegadas ou maiores. Também tem orifícios de instalação em forma de fechadura (de tamanho de caixa elétrica de um acoplamento), componente metálico com dois orifícios roscados de 3/8"-16 para montagem em parede opcional e um pedestal. Há dois locais na RVX-42 para fixação do pedestal: um no centro e outro na parte inferior da caixa acústica, permitindo que seja usada como canal central ou unidade de estante. Por exemplo, é possível criar um sistema de som surround 5.1 usando três RVX-42 (dois canais principais e um canal central), duas RSX-4 satélite da série Reference para surrounds e um subwoofer RW-10d da série Reference.
