Most distributed audio systems are plagued with thin-sounding performances, but the new IC-SW-8T2 in-ceiling subwoofer changes everything. Engineered for music reinforcement applications, these unobtrusive, easy-to-install loudspeakers feature a transformer-less design for 70V/100V distributed-line systems with two wattage settings. Since transformers severely limit a subwoofer's capabilities, this unique design is the perfect solution when building a great sounding commercial system.

The IC-SW-8T2 adds more dimension to any in-ceiling configuration by using an 8-inch woofer, 8-inch drone, polypropylene cones and high-temperature voice coils in the active driver. While most subwoofers use a port to increase output, the IC-SW-8T2 employs a bandpass design that utilizes a passive radiator. This eliminates a lot of the distortion and removes turbulence that is often present in ported designs. Maximum continuous output is a remarkable 111dB. And since AES rated sensitivity is 92dB, adequate levels can be achieved with modest amplifier power using the IC-SW-8T2.

Other key features of the IC-SW-8T2 include the ability to easily switch from low impedance to high impedance distributed-line applications as well as mono and two-channel inputs in low impedance modes. This durable subwoofer has an ABS plastic baffle, formed steel back can and a four-point terminal strip input connector and is UL 2043 and 1480 certified. The IC-SW-8T2 is shipped complete with a tile bridge for installation in a suspended ceiling or wherever additional reinforcement of the ceiling material is required. A mudring kit (part # 061347) is also available for drywall ceiling installations.

The IC-8T-SW Mud Ring kit is designed to make the installation of our commercial ICSW-8T2 in-ceiling subwoofer easier and less time consuming when used in applications featuring a drywall ceiling. Constructed of durable Zinc plated steel these pre-construction brackets are attached to the ceiling joists ahead of the sheet rock and define where the loudspeaker through hole must be cut by the ceiling contractor. Part # 061347 is sold singly, packaged in individual cartons.

THX®-Approved, the KPT-684 is a high output, bass-reflex subwoofer featuring advanced low-frequency driver design. The KPT-445-N screen channel system is designed to be tri-amplified with an included passive network to handle the HF to UHF crossover function. Utilizing the KPT-904-LF double 15” low-frequency system as a solid foundation, the KPT-402-MF Tractrix® horn and K-1133 two-inch exit titanium diaphragm compression driver effortlessly reproduces the critical mid-band dialogue range. The KPT-445-N high frequency section consists of the proven KPT-904-HF Tractrix horn and 3” titanium diaphragm compression driver seamlessly joined by a custom passive network with the K-703 horn and a 1.75” titanium diaphragm compression driver to deliver fine detail to every seat in the house. The combination of the K-510 high frequency and K-703 Ultra-High frequency Tractrix horns comprise the KPT-445-UHF/HF-N module.
