The SC.5 uses a 1-inch magnetically shielded polymer dome compression driver coupled to a 4-inch square Tractrix® Horn for the high frequencies and two 4-inch graphite-injected woofers for the lows. This winning combination delivers high output with low distortion, broad dynamics, controlled coverage and flat frequency response. Other class-leading design features, such as high-definition crossover networks and internally braced enclosures help ensure peak performance from every SC.5, while the unique venting system of its cast-polymer woofer frame cools the voice coil to enhance reliability.

A Legacy Reborn
Since 1946, Klipsch has been synonymous with horn-loaded technology. And since then, we’ve been guided by the four design principles set forth by our founder Paul W. Klipsch: high efficiency, low distortion, controlled directivity and wide and flat frequency response. Offering 3-way performance, the P-27C speaker shares a lot of similarities with the flagship P-39F floorstander, employing the same Tractrix® Horn-loaded midrange and super tweeter.   

Unique to the Palladium Series is a carbon-infused, thermoset composite dual-horn configuration. It consists of a proprietary tweeter design, combining a chambered phase plug and Tractrix® Horn for extended high-frequency response; a second 90º by 60º acoustically dampened Tractrix Horn is coupled to the midrange driver, resulting in remarkably precise and detailed performances.

For superior bass performance, the P-27C’s low-frequency driver employs dual 7-inch hybrid cone woofers, powered by a unique neodymium magnet structure. Dual ports on the rear of the speaker enhance low-distortion bass response. Each woofer’s voice coil responds accurately to the smallest signal modulation, yet can also handle the high power of the most demanding soundtracks.
