IC-8T-SW

CA-SW-8T

You have selected a Klipsch Classic product.

Put the finishing touches on any great commercial sound system with the new CA-SW-8T all-purpose, indoor/outdoor subwoofer. This compact and rugged passive subwoofer with an internal multi-tap transformer nicely complements the Klipsch CA-Series and other small to medium sized full-range speaker installations by adding high-impact, robust bass.

The CA-SW-8T shakes things up and delivers a deep, driving sound through an 8-inch, long excursion driver that has a high-temperature voice coil attached to an IMG (injection-molded graphite) cone that combines light weight, excellent rigidity, and water resistance. As a result, this ported subwoofer is capable of high output while remaining extremely reliable. Maximum continuous output is a remarkable 111dB SPL. And since AES rated sensitivity is 92dB, adequate levels can be achieved with modest amplifier power using the CA-SW-8T.

This durable subwoofer's paintable, weather-and UV-resistant ABS plastic enclosure and powder-coated aluminum grille facilitate easy placement in harsh, outdoor environments. For distributed sound system applications, the internal multi-tap transformer allows 70-volt, 100-volt, or pass through 6 ohm operation.

Five-way, binding-post inputs simplify connections, and there is a fixed, low-pass crossover at 150Hz. For easy wall or ceiling mounting, the CA-SW-8T comes with a C-bracket assembly that attaches to threaded studs in the cabinet with oversized knobs, ensuring positive lock. And at just 19 pounds, this subwoofer is easy to adjust for optimal coverage.

Built from the inside out for performance and durability, the CA-SW-8T adds warmth and body to commercial sound systems.

Architectural Specifications

The CA-SW-8T passive subwoofer system shall include an 8-inch weather-resistant IMG-cone driver. Signal shall be provided to the transducer via a passive internal low-pass filter with a 12dB/octave slope above a 150Hz cutoff frequency. The enclosure tuning shall be bass reflex.

The frequency response shall be 51Hz to 135Hz, +/-4dB, with the -10dB point at 42Hz, measured at three meters, half space anechoic. Sensitivity shall be 92dB SPL, measured at one meter, half space anechoic, with a 2.83V input. Power handling shall be 150 watts (25V), to AES standards, continuous pink noise, 50Hz to 10kHz, 6dB peaks. Calculated maximum continuous output at one meter shall be 111dB SPL. Nominal impedance shall be at 6 ohms with a 4 ohm minimum at 92Hz. Connections shall be made via 5-way binding posts.

A removable powder-coated aluminum grille shall be provided for protection of the transducer from tampering or damage. The enclosure shall be of UV- and weather resistant ABS plastic, available in black or white, with dimensions of 11.125" (28.26cm) high by 16.375" (41.59cm) wide by 11.75" (29.85cm) deep. Net weight shall be 19lbs. (8.6kg). Mounting shall be via protruding stainless steel threaded studs on the side enclosure panels, mating to large external knobs for positive attachment to the C-shaped mounting bracket (included).

The system shall be a Klipsch CA-SW-8T subwoofer.

A -3dB tweeter attenuation switch gives you better sound control and is conveniently located just behind the grille.

ProMedia GMX D-5.1

Why do you need a GMX D-5.1 multimedia speaker system? Because if you're playing Xbox, PlayStation or GameCube games without a GMX, you're missing half of the experience.

By applying our 57-years of high-performance audio expertise to console gaming, Klipsch has added a whole new dimension to today's advanced video games.

The GMX D-5.1 is much more than just another video game accessory - it's more like a hidden weapon or savory cheat that helps you clear the level and beat your pitiful roommate for the umpteenth time.

What makes Klipsch speakers so special? To begin with, Klipsch is a REAL speaker company. We have been making some of the world's most sought after loudspeakers since 1946. And Klipsch is the market leader in high-performance home theater systems as well as a leading supplier of professional theater sound systems to the world's most quality-conscious cinema operators.

The GMX D-5.1 system is available in 120 and 230 volt versions and delivers unmatched dynamic sound with an astounding 108-decibel output through its 0.75-inch metalized polymer tweeter and 3-inch metalized fiber-composite midbass woofer. The tweeter is coupled to an exclusive Klipsch MicroTractrix® Horn. This advanced horn increases sensitivity while minimizing room interactions that blur the sonic detail and imaging of conventional speakers, and the ported enclosure further reduces distortion while boosting bass output. Each satellite is magnetically shielded to protect your television or monitor from interference.

The 6.5" fiber-composite cone subwoofer and built-in 100-watt FTC-rated amplifier round out the high-quality componentry of the GMX D-5.1 system. Together, the sum of all of the GMX parts reproduce video game soundtracks with more power, detail, and absolute surround sound excitement than any other multimedia speaker system available.

Additional features developed specifically for gamers include:

5.1 surround sound format decoding of Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II and five-channel stereo allows gamers to take advantage of the advanced sound effects and sonic immersion available in today's video games

45 degrees of satellite speaker angle adjustment through a newly designed ball-joint pedestal allows gamers maximum flexibility in placement without losing the dynamic surround sound impact

ProMedia Ultra 5.1

You have selected a Klipsch Classic product.

Reference Series powered subwoofers shatter your expectations for deep, driving bass by playing louder and going deeper than significantly larger designs, creating the most dramatic, intense bass you've ever heard or felt. Designed from the ground up for class-leading, room-filling low-frequency performance, the RSW-10 is sonically, cosmetically and technologically matched to the Reference Series. Low-level inputs that also operate as an LFE input (for compatibility with 5.1 digital sound formats) and an adjustable low-pass crossover allow you to configure the subwoofer to your room's acoustics. The easy-to-reach, side-mounted volume control makes for simple setup and convenient level adjustments between music and movie sources.

The RSW-10 matches a 10" front-firing Cerametallic™ passive radiator and a 10" rear-firing active driver to a high-output BASH® amplifier, generating enormous sound from a surprisingly compact cabinet. It delivers more thundering low bass with greater clarity than much larger subwoofers, and is finished in unobtrusive, durable black vinyl. The RSW-10 is available in only a 120 volt version.

RW-10

You have selected a Klipsch Classic product.

Most companies sacrifice performance for cosmetics or vice versa, not Klipsch. The Reference Series RW-10 subwoofer has a sophisticated appearance and uses a unique technology to produce a deeper, louder bass that out-drives larger competitive subs. The RW-10 is availble in 120 and 230 volt versions and allows audiophiles to create complete Reference systems at affordable price points.

The RW-10 approaches the quality and flexibility of Klipsch's top-of-the-line RSW models at lower prices. The driving force behind this price and performance breakthrough is Klipsch's exclusive Corner Port™ Technology. This new technology allows the port tube to be as long as possible without bending, minimizing turbulence that can cause port noise and distortion. It also allows the enclosure to be tuned to a lower frequency than would otherwise be possible to create deeper bass from a smaller cabinet. Another important element is a corner-shaped flange at the port's internal opening, which amplifies the benefits of the longer port. This performance enhancing technology is only available from Klipsch.

The 10-inch woofer still features Klipsch's distinctive, copper-colored Cerametallic™ cone but is now made with an anodized aluminum, making it harder and more dent resistant than ever. The anodizing process converts its inner and outer surface to ceramic. The result is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate. A giant magnet and high-temperature, long-excursion voice coil ensure efficient, reliable operation and, in combination with the mechanical characteristics of the cones, exceptionally low distortion.

The RW-10 gets its intensity from a newly designed amplifier that delivers 260-watts continuously (FTC rated), but more importantly, 575-watts of dynamic power - the punch that makes the subwoofer come to life. A continuously variable phase control facilitates ideal acoustical integration of the subwoofer with the other speakers in the system. This variable phase control is not found on many subwoofers; especially models in this price range, but it will increase bass response when properly adjusted. The easy-to-reach, side-mounted volume control is another unique feature that makes both set-up and on-the-fly adjustments easier than conventional back-panel mounted volume controls.

All of this performance is incorporated into a front-firing, front-ported design that makes installation into custom cabinetry simple. The RW-10 is available in a contemporary black wood grain vinyl or a silver finish with a sculpted front panel and grille that lends an elegant appearance to any home.

This new subwoofer matches the entire Reference line in materials, technology, styling and performance, and perfectly anchors your home theater or two-channel stereo music system.

You have selected a Klipsch Classic product.

Klipsch has re-invented America's best-selling subwoofers by adding a huge dose of technology that can be seen and heard in the acclaimed Reference Series line. The RW-12 has adopted a fresh approach to enclosure venting that produces deeper, stronger, and cleaner bass performance than any other subwoofer in its class. This powerhouse has the look of a complex machine but its simple interface makes it easy to use.

The RW-12 approaches the quality and flexibility of Klipsch's top-of-the-line RSW models at lower prices.

The 12-inch woofer features a refined version of Klipsch's elegant, copper-colored Cerametallic™ material that is stronger than ever. This cone is made of an anodized aluminum that makes it tough but does not detract from its beauty. The anodizing process converts its inner and outer surface to ceramic. The result is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate. An oversized magnet and a high-temperature, long-excursion voice coil ensures efficient, reliable operation and, in combination with the mechanical characteristics of the cone, exceptionally low distortion.

The RW-12 gets its intensity from a newly designed amplifier that delivers 340-watts continuously (FTC rated), but more importantly, 825-watts of dynamic power - the punch that makes the subwoofer come to life.

All of this performance is incorporated into a front-firing, front-ported design that makes installation into custom cabinetry a breeze. The RW-12 is available in 120 and 230 volt versions and comes in an elegant black vinyl veneer with a sculpted front panel and grille that nicely blends in with fine home furnishings.

Designed from the ground up for class-leading, room-filling low-frequency performance, this extraordinary subwoofer matches the entire Reference line in materials, technology, styling and performance.

You have selected a Klipsch Classic product.

The Reference Series line has a long-standing reputation for carrying powered subwoofers that shatter expectations for deep, driving bass. Reference subwoofers play louder and go deeper than significantly larger designs, creating the most dramatic, intense bass ever. The RW-8 takes it to another level by integrating fresh technology that enhances performance while dramatically reducing cost and enclosure size.

The RW-8, the smallest and most affordable member of the line, can deliver clean, room-rattling bass to below 30Hz. The driving force behind this price and performance breakthrough is Klipsch's exclusive Corner Port™ Technology. This new technology allows the port tube to be as long as possible without bending, which minimizes turbulence that can cause port noise and distortion.

The 8-inch woofer features a copper-colored Klipsch Cerametallic™ cone, made of anodized aluminum. The anodizing process converts its inner and outer surface to ceramic. The result is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate. An uncommonly large motor structure and high-temperature, long-excursion voice coil ensure efficient, reliable operation and, in combination with the mechanical characteristics of the cones, remarkably low distortion.

The RW-8 gets its grunt from a newly designed amplifier that delivers 125-watts continuously (FTC rated), but more importantly, 270-watts of dynamic power - the punch that makes the subwoofer come alive.

All of this performance is incorporated into a front-firing, front-ported design that makes installation into custom cabinetry a breeze. The RW-8 is available in 120 and 230 volt versions and is available in an attractive black wood grain vinyl finish or silver finish with a sculpted front panel and grille that lends an upscale appearance to any home.

The new Reference Series RW subwoofers are unrivaled for their ability to deliver the impact, power and emotion that make your music and cinematic experiences come to life. The mighty RW-8 delivers more thundering low bass with greater clarity than much larger subwoofers. Its exceptional output capability combined with hard-hitting low-frequency response will raise the bar for what's expected from a "small," affordable subwoofer.

Synergy bookshelf loudspeakers prove that great sound can come in small, affordable packages. The SB-2 bookshelf speaker is the perfect step-up solution for a powerful full-range system that still has the benefits of a compact size.

Standing just 15-inches tall, the SB-2 incorporates the same driver technology as the SF-1 floorstanding speaker - a 1-inch aluminum-diaphragm compression driver with a 5-inch square Tractrix® Horn and a single 6.5-inch graphite-injected woofer.

The SB-2 offers the same features as its larger Synergy Series counterparts, including a high-definition crossover network and an internally braced enclosure. Its cast-polymer woofer frame has exceptional impact tolerance to protect the driver's internal parts and maintain their critical alignment. A rear-mounted port increases efficiency and extends bass response, allowing high output with low distortion and low turbulence. Klipsch's unique woofer venting system keeps both the magnet and voice coil cool to ensure long-term reliability.

The SB-2's enclosure employs the highest-quality MDF construction and is finished in jet ash vinyl veneer. This bookshelf also features a "floating," or suspended, grille design, which minimizes image-impairing sonic reflections.

This rock-solid performer delivers all the "oomph" of movie explosions and intricate musical detail that is often associated with large floorstanding models.

Synergy SLX

You have selected a Klipsch classic product.

The La Scala effectively unveils the recorded musical information, enabling you to hear the intricate detail and emotional response of the artist.

The Heritage Series La Scala three-way loudspeaker provides a very Klipschorn®-like performance with sparkling highs; extreme output, yet smooth midrange; and the unsurpassed low distortion bass response of the patented Klipsch folded-horn woofer. Utilizing the same horn-loaded drivers used in the Klipschorn® and Belle Klipsch, the La Scala is highly efficient and can produce high volumes with very little power and undetectable distortion.

When the La Scala first launched in 1963, audio pioneer Paul W. Klipsch made it for Arkansas gubernatorial candidate Winthrop Rockefeller to use as a public address speaker. Because some considered it a "portable" and more affordable version of the revolutionary Klipschorn®, the La Scala found success beyond the campaign. Despite its raw, unfinished appearance, the fully horn-loaded, three-way La Scala sounded so good people still wanted to put it in their living rooms.

The La Scala was updated in 2006 as the La Scala II.

The Synergy Series uses advanced technologies in each of its loudspeakers to create a dynamic sound that goes beyond anything listeners could imagine at such reasonable price points. Using the same high-performance materials as its SF-2 predecessor, the SF-1 delivers an amazing sound from an even smaller cabinet and even more affordable price.

The SF-1 makes efficient use of a magnetically shielded, 6.5-inch graphite-injected woofer and a 1-inch aluminum diaphragm compression driver coupled to a Klipsch 5-inch square Tractrix® Horn, creating realistic spatial imaging and smooth, uncolored sound reproduction. A large, flared port extends the SF-1's deep, authoritative bass without turbulence noise or dynamic compression.

Other class-leading design features, such as high-definition crossover networks and internally braced enclosures help ensure peak performance from every SF-1, while the unique venting system of its cast-polymer woofer frame cools the voice coil to enhance reliability.

The SF-1's enclosure employs the highest-quality MDF construction and is finished in jet ash vinyl veneer. This floorstander also features a "floating," or suspended, grille design, which minimizes image-impairing sonic reflections.

The SF-1's surprising high level of smooth and seamless sound reproduction creates a knock-your-socks off experience that will impress your friends and provide years of high-quality audio entertainment.
