Durch seine THX® Ultra2-Zertifizierung eignet sich der KL-7800-THX gut für Mehrkanal-Film- und Musikpräsentationen bis zu Referenzlautstärken in Räumen mit 85 Kubikmetern und mehr. 

Der KL-7800-THX kann auch den gleichen leistungsstarken und verzerrungsarmen Sound bieten wie sein Gegenstück im traditionellen Gehäuse, der KL-525-THX. Er verwendet einen Aluminium-Tieftöner (20,3 cm) und einen Titan-Kalotten-Kompressionshochtöner (2,54 cm) an einem Tractrix® Horn.
