RC-52

Because the center channel speaker reproduces more than 60 percent of a movie soundtrack, Klipsch spared no expense when developing the Reference Series RC-52. With its ideal combination of technology, performance and design, this speaker delivers a seamless, engaging soundstage that puts listeners inside the action.

Exclusive Tractrix® Horns have always been the key component of this critically acclaimed series. In the RC-52, this technology has been refined to include improved throat geometry for a more genuine, lifelike sound. Behind the horn lies a 1-inch titanium tweeter with a powerful neodymium magnet motor structure to provide a unique combination of precision, clarity and effortless dynamics.

The RC-52 employs dual 5.25-inch woofers for a solid bass foundation. These Cerametallic™ woofers with inverted copper dust caps exhibit a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and superb damping characteristics.

Klipsch Tapered Array™ technology operates both woofers at the lowest frequencies - maintaining the high output capability necessary for good center channel performance - but only one operates all the way through the midrange to where the tweeter takes over. This eliminates acoustic interference between the woofer outputs, a flaw in conventional speaker designs that can severely impair sound quality at the sides of the listening area.

The RC-52's rigid cabinet offers improved internal cross-bracing to minimize panel vibrations that can color sound. Twin front-firing ports eliminate turbulence noise, while increased baffle ribbing around the horn mouth dramatically improves acoustics across the sonic range. For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the crossover on the RC-52 features the finest components and Klipsch custom internal wiring.

Available in a black woodgrain vinyl finish, the fully video-shielded RC-52 comes with a low-diffraction, magnetically attached grille to further accentuate the elegance of this speaker.

RVX-42

Despite its slim appearance, the RVX-42 delivers an adrenaline rush of sound that's set to stun. In fact, it received a 2004 Distributed Audio Award from Electronic House Expo for being the best on-wall speaker for less than $1,000 per pair.

With similar flatness and styling to popular plasma and LCD televisions, the Klipsch Reference Series RVX-42 is a high-performance audio solution that complements this growing consumer electronics segment.

This on-wall model has a single-piece aluminum extrusion enclosure. It employs dual 4-inch Cerametallic™ woofers and uses a 1-inch titanium-dome compression driver mated to a round Tractrix® Horn for maximum clarity and efficiency.

The RVX-42 goes well with 42-inch or larger plasma and LCD screens. It also features keyhole mounts (sized for a single-gang electrical box), two 3/8"-16 threaded inserts for optional wall mounts and a pedestal base. There are two insert locations on the RVX-42 where the pedestal can be positioned - one in the center and one on the bottom so the loudspeaker can either serve as a center channel or bookshelf. Another key feature is a bass compensation switch for the best possible sonic performance either on-wall or off-wall.

Available in the same black finish as the Klipsch Reference Satellites, the RVX-42, which is packaged and sold individually, can be combined with these compact speakers to create complete systems. For example, you can create a 5.1-channel surround sound system using three RVX-42s (two main channels and one center channel), a pair of Reference Satellite RSX-4s for surrounds and a Reference Series RW-10 subwoofer.

RCX-4

Listeners are encouraged to brace themselves for a dynamic sound experience because the RCX-4 delivers everything from the faintest whisper to the loudest roar with complete clarity.

To meet the demand for speakers that fit almost anywhere and still deliver excellent sound, Klipsch has developed a new compact center channel for its legendary Reference Series line. The RCX-4 enters the lifestyle category by combining performance, style and functional versatility for users who want dynamic sound but in a small, unobtrusive package.

This horizontal-oriented center channel can handle multiple installation applications without trading off sound for style and convenience. Its high-performance sound nicely enhances stereo or home theater applications, allowing consumers to create captivating audio experiences.

The RCX-4 delivers incredibly dynamic and accurate performances by utilizing a 1-inch titanium-dome compression driver coupled to Klipsch's new round MicroTractrix™ Horn. This magnetically shielded speaker also employs a pair of 4-inch woofers that flank the MicroTractrix® horn.

The woofer is a long-throw unit powered by a unique neodymium motor structure. The Cerametallic™ cones are lightweight with excellent rigidity, which dramatically reduce any resonance. As a result, the RCX-4 is capable of robust bass extending low enough for comfortable operation with today's built-in A/V preamp/processor and receiver crossovers.

As with all new Reference Series models, the RCX-4 uses high-quality network components and top-of-the-line internal wiring for proper driver blending with minimal degradation of the incoming signals. These premium features ensure nothing but outstanding performances.

The RCX-4 sports a modern look that comes in a black finish. The center channel's integrated pedestal stand with ball joint allow it to be adjusted in almost any direction by simply using the provided allen wrench. Keyholes are provided on the underside of the stand base for no-hassle wall mounting. The magnetic grille easily snaps into place over its cast-aluminum front baffle, while sturdy five-way binding posts ensure secure connection to any type of cable.

This center channel comes individually packaged for mix-and-match simplicity or as part of the Klipsch Cinema 8 and 10 home theater packages.

RC-7

The RC-7 utilizes a combination of professional grade materials and advanced horn technology for a smooth response and consistent coverage pattern. The new Reference Series 1.75" titanium dome compression driver is coupled to an 8" square Tractrix® Horn and powered by an unusually large, video-shielded 22oz. magnet. This combination offers the speed and accuracy needed to deliver clear, accurate, non-fatiguing high and upper midrange frequencies at any volume level. This design approach is so efficient that it virtually eliminates the most common cause of driver failure — excessive energy.

The two 8" Cerametallic™ woofer cones are lighter, stronger and better damped than commonly used cone materials. Cerametallic™ is a specially treated aluminum that has been anodized, or electro-chemically transformed into ceramic on both outer surfaces. Similar to the motor of the large compression driver, powerful, video-shielded 28oz. magnets drive these woofers, allowing for precise signal tracking without blurring the sound. Aesthetically, the unmistakable copper color of our Cerametallic™ cones gives the RC-7 its distinctive Klipsch Reference look.

The RC-7's cast-polymer woofer frames, which have high impact tolerance to stabilize the woofer motors and guarantee their critical alignment, are designed to be stronger and more functional than typical driver "baskets", and actually contribute to the overall enhanced performance. These non-magnetic woofer baskets eliminate any loss of magnetic energy needed for output and dynamic headroom. And the unique venting system cools the motor and voice coil to enhance reliability.

The RC-7 center channel features Klipsch's version of 2.5-way crossover technology, called tapered-array. With tapered-array, the two Cerametallic™ woofers work together to deliver high impact bass with one driver transitioning out at the mid-range frequencies. This provides more consistent coverage across the listening field, less tonal error and improved dialogue intelligibility.

RC-10

Part of the new Reference 10 family, the RC-10 center channel adds a new value point to Klipsch's best-selling Reference Series line by offering the same advanced technology and world-class materials as the Reference III center channels but from a smaller enclosure and at a lower price point.

The RC-10 employs dual 4-inch woofers and a 1-inch titanium-dome compression driver loaded with a 4-inch square Tractrix® Horn for maximum clarity and efficiency.

This center channel also utilizes Klipsch's Tapered-Array™ Technology, a 2.5-way design that minimizes the acoustical interference between drivers that plagues most horizontal center-channel speakers. This technology allows both woofers to create intense bass, while only one works with the tweeter to produce the midrange. The result is a smooth, clear sound not just directly in front of the speaker, but off to the sides as well, where conventional center speakers often exaggerate or mask sounds.

The woofers on the RC-10 still feature Klipsch's distinctive, copper-colored Cerametallic™ material. Made with an anodized aluminum, these cones are strong and dent resistant. The anodizing process converts their inner and outer surfaces to ceramic. The outcome is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate at frequencies within the woofer's operating range.

As in all Reference Series speakers, the RC-10 crossover network is constructed using extremely high-quality components including top-of-the-line internal wiring, polyester film-type capacitors and an air-core inductor to ensure signal purity and proper driver integration.

Available in a black vinyl finish, the RC-10 features a low-diffraction sculpted baffle and a magnetically attached grille for an elegant fit and finish.

Because the design requirements of a center channel are quite challenging, it is difficult to make a modestly sized, horizontally oriented loudspeaker that performs exceptionally. Despite its compact enclosure, the RC-10 easily carries on the Reference Series' high-performance legacy
