Comprised of three LCR (left, center, right) speakers and two satellites for surrounds, the Quintet™ SL incorporates over 60 years of class-leading research and development experience. In fact, it utilizes the same cutting-edge technology as our professional cinema products, which are chosen by leading cinema operators around the world.

Each magnetically shielded LCR speaker employs dual 3.5-inch high-output woofers and a 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeter mated to an exclusive Tractrix® horn, a design that delivers genuine lifelike sound as well as produces more output using less energy. Each also offers easy keyhole wall mounting and includes a pedestal foot for free-standing use as a left/right main speaker or center channel.

The two surround satellites are the same speakers featured in the Quintet™ Microsystem. In order to create the low-frequency power you can hear and feel, we recommend pairing the Quintet™ SL up with our Sub-12 subwoofer (sold separately). The Sub-12 reaches deeper and hits harder thanks to a 12-inch, down-firing driver coupled to a highly efficient BASH amplifier.

In addition to using premium components throughout, the Quintet™ SL has a modern, refined industrial design. While the LCRs and satellites feature a dark gray finish with medium gray accents, the Sub-12 is available in a black ash vinyl finish with titanium accents.

This center channel also utilizes Klipsch's Tapered-Array™ Technology, a 2.5-way design that minimizes the acoustical interference between drivers that plagues most horizontal center-channel speakers. This technology allows both woofers to create intense bass, while only one works with the tweeter to produce the midrange. The result is a smooth, clear sound not just directly in front of the speaker, but off to the sides as well, where conventional center speakers often exaggerate or mask sounds.

The woofers on the RC-10 still feature Klipsch's distinctive, copper-colored Cerametallic™ material. Made with an anodized aluminum, these cones are strong and dent resistant. The anodizing process converts their inner and outer surfaces to ceramic.
