INDIANAPOLIS (August 26, 2006) — When it came to selecting their favorite products for 2006, the editors of EH Publishing’s four magazines, which are all dedicated to the electronic house, chose the Klipsch KS-7800-THX in-wall surround speaker for an Electronic House Product of the Year Award.

This annual awards program recognizes those products that are dedicated to the connected home. Hundreds of entries were submitted this year and through a democratic voting process, the editors selected the most notable. Decisions were based on reviews that ran throughout the year, product demonstrations and talking with installers and users of the products. Topping the list of criteria was technological innovation, combined with overall value, and outstanding features.

The winners for 2006 will be featured in the September issue of Electronic House, which will be distributed at the upcoming CEDIA trade show, as well as newsstands everywhere. The KS-7800-THX will also be featured on electronichouse.com for one year where it is expected to reach 1.5 million viewers.

Engineered to bring real cinema sound to the comforts of home, the KS-7800-THX offers the ultimate in surround performance for a hidden solution loudspeaker. It employs an 8-inch aluminum woofer and a patented horn array, consisting of two vertically stacked, proprietary Tractrix® Horn-loaded tweeters.

In order to create enveloping sound fields and precise localization of individual effects, this speaker also utilizes Klipsch's Wide Dispersion Surround Technology™. Also referred to as WDST, this no-compromise approach gives the KS-7800-THX much more placement flexibility than conventional designs.

The KS-7800-THX carries a U.S. MSRP of $750 each and is available through the residential contracting market.
