INDIANAPOLIS (September 7, 2005) - Following the success of its iPod-centric iFi home speaker system, Klipsch is introducing the iGroove, a full-range setup that allows iPod users to achieve high-performance sound from a convenient all-in-one docking solution.
Standalone, compact and stylish, the iGroove is a true two-way system with dual 2.5-inch fiber-composite woofers in a ported enclosure, dual 1-inch MicroTractrix™ Horn-loaded tweeters and a built-in iPod dock. To ensure an optimal and precise dispersion pattern, the exclusive MicroTractrix Horns are formed into the speaker baffle, a design that offers the lowest diffraction and maximum release of energy into the listening area.
While the iGroove accepts and charges all dockable iPods, it works with the Nano, Shuffle, a variety of MP3 players and other audio devices via the included dock adaptors. The iGroove is also easy to operate - just plug it in, pop in an iPod and hit play. The included IR remote facilitates full system control.
"By adding the iGroove to its iPod-solution offerings, Klipsch is providing yet another way for listeners to significantly enhance their digital music experience," said Tony Ostrom, director of product marketing. "The iGroove is designed to deliver superior dynamic range, detail and clarity, allowing users to hear the subtleties in their favorite music that were once hidden beneath the surface."
Available in a silver finish, the system's sleek appearance nicely complements Apple® hardware and fits almost any room's décor. Available through the mass and specialty retail channels, the Klipsch iGroove carries a U.S. MSRP of $279.99.
