INDIANAPOLIS (September 8, 2011) — Klipsch, a leading global speaker manufacturer, today announces the launch of the Image S4A, the company’s first for-Android™ headset allowing for complete music and call control for relevant devices and tablets. Coupling award-winning sound and innovative mobile technology, Android enthusiasts now have a Klipsch Image to call their own.
The Image S4A requires users to download the free Klipsch Control App prior to use. Once installed, the headphone instantly becomes a fully functioning headset for any device running the Android 2.1 operating system or higher. With its single-button remote, users are able to play, pause and skip music tracks, answer and end incoming calls, and voice search. Each of these button functions can be customized by users through use of the Klipsch Control App. By simply assigning the one-, two- or three-click functionalities of the remote to the different call and music controls, users are granted a customized listening experience each time they plug in.
“The impact Android devices have had on the mobile market in such a limited time frame is nothing short of extraordinary,” said Mike Klipsch, president of global operations for Klipsch. “With a large portion of consumers leaning toward Android-operated smart phones and tablets, it was integral we accommodate their specific preferences with an Android-compatible headphone that provides the sound for which Klipsch is known, as well as the added convenience for music and call-control.”
Boasting the exact look and feel of the award-winning Image S4, this for-Android headphone features patented ear tips that ensure hours of comfortable, long-term wear. Unlike circular-shaped ear tips that put stress on the pressure points inside the ear, Klipsch’s patented oval ear tips naturally fit the contours of your ear canals, providing comfortable long-term wear. These ear tips also offer superior noise isolation (or passive noise-cancellation), blocking out almost all ambient noise and providing excellent bass.
Equipped with a dual magnet micro-speaker and 8.5mm driver, the Image S4A covers a wide frequency range, while delivering dynamic detail for the most strikingly realistic sound reproductions of beloved music libraries.
Available in a sleek black finish with chrome accents, the Image S4A comes complete with four different-sized oval ear tips (a small/medium dual flange design as well as small, medium and large single flange designs), a nylon zipper case, clothing clip and two-year warranty. These headphones retail for $99.99 (U.S. MSRP) and will be available at authorized retailers and Klipsch.com in fall 2011.
