INDIANAPOLIS, IN (August 4, 2011) — Klipsch Group, Inc. (KGI), owner of the Klipsch®, Energy®, Mirage® and Jamo® audio brands, today announced business developments pertaining to the Company’s global Jamo operations, including a new European headquarters based in Paris France, and the appointment of a lead product designer. These moves are part of the Company’s increased focus to enhance visibility and product availability of the Jamo brand in the global marketplace.

In this revitalization of the Danish-inspired Jamo brand, KGI will utilize veteran product designers and engineers within KGI’s global headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind., while collaborating with the same Danish firms that have long been involved in Jamo’s product design. In addition, the KGI-owned Mirage speaker brand will become its own series under the Jamo brand and contribute a unique form factor, along with industry-leading technology, to diversify the Jamo product offering and expand its portfolio to suit a global audience. To better serve the brand, the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) office will relocate to Paris, France, to provide a centralized hub for direct sales opportunities, the brand’s first dedicated showroom and training facility, and improved channel management.

“This significant investment exemplifies our commitment in developing Jamo into a true global brand that will stay committed to its Danish design inspiration while incorporating new technology and product variety needed for international success,” said Paul Jacobs, CEO of KGI. “By streamlining our product development team and unifying our European efforts, we can now guarantee more frequent product launches that exhibit breakthrough design and innovation. With the investment of additional KGI resources and expertise, our goal is to continue to expand the reach of the Jamo brand.”

Assuming the role of lead product designer for the newly inspired brand is KGI’s Glen Fuller. With more than 20 years of product design experience, Fuller will provide a fresh perspective in fusing the renowned Danish design for which Jamo is known with cutting edge concepts and technology. Mr. Fuller is a well-known and respected industry veteran and has been awarded over 20 CES Innovations Awards for Design and Engineering; a testament to his creative skill sets and understanding of consumer needs. Mr. Fuller will remain at KGI’s Indianapolis headquarters, working with the Company’s team of designers and engineers.

“As the worldwide leader in loudspeaker manufacturing, we’re once again investing our money and human capital to initiate new industry standards for the loudspeaker industry,” said Jacobs. “Backed by fellow industry leader Audiovox, we are confident this transition will result in a newly inspired brand that remains true to its roots yet poised for global growth like never before.”
