INDIANAPOLIS (August 7, 2012) — Klipsch, a leading global speaker manufacturer, today announces the launch of the HD Theater 600, the brand’s most recent addition to the best selling HD Theater series originally introduced in 2009. As the brand’s latest all-in-one home theater package, the HD Theater 600 presents a complete yet compact surround system that affordably adds crisp dialogue, brilliant music and explosive effect to video content.

Complete with four satellite speakers, a matching center channel speaker and a powered subwoofer, the HD Theater 600 serves as a premium 5.1 system best suited for medium sized rooms. Utilizing decades of research and development experience, Klipsch has been successful at value engineering this system while staying true to its audiophile heritage. To ensure maximum quality and performance, the HD Theater 600 is crafted from durable, high-quality components and uses the same state-of-the-art horn-loaded technology that has made Klipsch an industry leader for more than 65 years.

“The pre-bundled home theater system category is integral to both manufacturers and consumers,” said Paul Jacobs, CEO of Klipsch. “By delivering our world renowned sonic signature in an affordable, all-in-one package, we are providing today’s enthusiasts with a meaningful sound solution that is easy on a budget, minimally invasive and capable of enhanced viewing and listening experiences.”

Each HD Theater 600 satellite speaker utilizes an exclusive Klipsch MicroTractrix horn for its .75-inch tweeter for increased output and superior detail reproduction. The improved, 2.5-inch long-throw IMG woofers expand midbass bandwidth, blending perfectly with the subwoofer for a system that sounds much larger than it visually appears. The 8-inch, down-firing, fiber composite woofer fills a room with bass that is not only heard but felt. The solid MDF cabinet is designed for low resonance while its bass-reflex design helps to reproduce deep bass. With volume, crossover and phase controls, the subwoofer can be adjusted for the level of bass that best fits a room or personal preference.

Offering listeners significant placement flexibility, each HD Theater 600 satellite speaker can be positioned horizontally or vertically with the help of adjustable wall brackets that provide a 40-degree range of motion. In addition, ¼-inch 20-threaded inserts allow for optional floor-stand mounting and the center channel includes a cradle base with a 45-degree range of motion.

Available in a high gloss black finish, the HD Theater 600 retails for $599.99 (U.S. MSRP) and is currently available for purchase at authorized retailers and http://www.klipsch.com.
