RVX-42

EHX Votes RVX-42 Best On-Wall Speaker for Less Than $1,000 Per Pair

INDIANAPOLIS (December 1, 2004) - Sales figures compiled by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) show that flat-panel TVs have become one of the hottest new products in the retail market. CEA Market Research data indicates that electronic manufacturers sold 412,000 flat-panel sets to retailers over the first three months of 2004. Klipsch responded by developing high-performance audio solutions to complement these popular TVs - including the RVX-42, which was recently voted the best on-wall speaker for less than $1,000 per pair by Electronic House Expo (EHX).

As part of the third annual Distributed Audio Awards sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association, EHX recognized the RVX-42 and 16 other multiroom audio products for their exceptional innovation, functionality and value at last month's EHX Fall 2004 trade show. A panel of five industry experts judged a total of 55 products before determining the best in each of the 17 award categories.

Available in black or silver, the RVX-42 perfectly complements a 42-inch flat-panel display. It has a single-piece extruded aluminum enclosure and employs dual 4-inch aluminum woofers and a 1-inch titanium-dome compression driver mated to a round Tractrix® Horn. Other features include keyhole mounts (sized to fit a single-gang electrical box), plus dual 3/8"-20 threaded inserts for popular wall mounts and a pedestal base. There are two insert locations on the RVX-42 where the pedestal can be positioned - one in the center and one on the bottom so the loudspeaker can either serve as a center channel or bookshelf. Another key feature is a bass compensation switch that tailors the speaker's crossover network for maximum performance whether placed on-wall or off-wall.
