This marvel employs an 8-inch square Tractrix® Horn tweeter powered by a 1-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver. Using the same Tractrix Horn as the Classic RF-7 in a smaller cabinet gives the RF-5 “outside the box” imaging and smooth midrange tonal balance for an incredible soundstage.

In fact, the advanced Tractrix Horn geometry and compression driver technology that reproduces a more genuine, lifelike sound in theaters is the same technology that is applied to the RF-5. This speaker’s horn design enables it to produce more output using less energy. In turn, this improves reliability and reduces distortion, so you hear exactly what you’re supposed to, instead of speaker coloration.

The RF-5’s dual 8-inch Cerametallic woofers and dual flared port help deliver deep, authoritative bass without noise and compression. Premium internal wiring and audiophile-grade crossover components ensure peak performance across the entire sound spectrum, while a unique venting system keeps the driver’s motor and voice coil cool for superior reliability. To complete the experience, the Classic RF-5 speaker is finished in either a furniture-grade black ash or dark cherry (non-grain raising) wood veneer.
