Overview

Sleek, simple, and small, the CS-500 home theater system delivers the effect of a large, 5.1 home theater system with just two speakers, a subwoofer and an A/V center.
  • Horn-loaded speakers deliver maximum impact
  • Compact sub delivers dramatic low-end effects
  • Dolby Virtual Speaker technology simulates 5-channel sound
  • Progressive scan DVD/CD player, AM/FM tuner
  • Three auxiliary inputs
  • Universal IR remote*

Each magnetically shielded (so it won’t interfere with your TV) CS-500 speaker employs dual 2.5-inch high-output woofers and a 0.75-inch horn-loaded tweeter. Our exclusive Tractrix® Horn technology is what allows this home theater system to deliver genuine lifelike sound as well as produce more output using less energy.

The down-firing, wired subwoofer utilizes a powerful 6.5-inch woofer. Due to its compact size, this heavy-hitter can easily be hidden away while still delivering dramatic low-end effects.

The A/V center features a built-in Class D amplifier that distributes 35 watts of power to each satellite speaker and 100 watts of power to the subwoofer. It also includes a progressive scan DVD/CD player, AM/FM tuner, and three auxiliary inputs. The CS-500 home theater system even has the ability to pass high-definition signals through a component output and can simplify all of the auxiliary input connections into a single convenient output to the TV. An easy-to-use universal IR remote control directs all system functions as well as those of the TV and other entertainment devices.

Available in a black finish, this DVD home theater offers a clean, modern design that fits comfortably into any living environment. The CS-500 also gives you home theater speakers and a subwoofer in one easy-to-install package. It can be operating in as little as 10 minutes. Simply connect the speakers, subwoofer and TV to the A/V center using the color-coded wiring and then plug in one power cord. A step-by-step set up guide is included to walk you through the process.

*CS-500 FAQs

The included IR remote will not turn my CS-500 on or off, what is wrong?
The remote might be in the incorrect input mode. The CS-500 remote is universal, so users must make sure that it’s in the correct input mode to control the system. You must be in “Disc” or “AM/FM” to control the CS-500. If a different input is selected, the remote is attempting to control the component plugged into that input (regardless of whether or not the remote is programmed to do so). If you are still experiencing problems after correcting the input mode, try replacing the remote’s battery. Then, if that does not work, contact Klipsch tech support at 1-800-KLIPSCH or support@klipsch.com.

Can I program my universal remote to work with the CS-500?
Universal remote manufacturers do not have our CS-500 codes; therefore, your existing universal remote will not work with this system. However, the CS-500 remote is universal so you can choose to make it your primary remote to control all of your home theater devices. As a side note, most standard learning remotes are able to emulate the CS-500 remote’s functions.
