Overview
You have selected a discontinued product.
Designed for high fidelity distributed sound system installations, the CA-6T compact full range loudspeaker is perfect for foreground or background applications in restaurants, outdoor recreation environments, boardrooms or A/V systems. The rugged ABS enclosure is weather-resistant and UV-resistant for a long service life. An internal multi-tap transformer includes direct bypass switching for distributed or direct 8 ohm operation.
The included C-bracket and integral threaded studs with oversized knobs allow easy under-eave, wall or ceiling mounting for rapid "center-of-gravity balanced" installation. A security retainer provides for secondary attachment to an external safety point, guarding against tampering or drop damage. Connections are provided via 5-way binding posts.
The CA-6T components include a high power 6.5" extended range woofer and a 1" highly accurate titanium diaphragm compression driver mounted on a square-mouth Tractrix Horn. The 90º x 60º horn/driver assembly can be repositioned by 90º to provide flexible horizontal and vertical pattern adjustments.
Providing great sound for its size, the compact CA-6T full-range loudspeaker system is capable of 85 watt continuous power handling, with an AES-rated sensitivity of 95dB and a maximum output level of 111dB spl.
The removable powder-coated aluminum grille and stainless steel hardware offer years of maintenance-free protection no matter the climate or environment. The available black or white enclosure finish can be painted to match surrounding decor.
Inside and out, the Klipsch CA-6T provides superior audio performance in a durable - and flexible - commercial package.
Architectural Specifications
The CA-6T all-purpose two-way compact loudspeaker system shall include a 6.5" (16.5cm) weather-resistant K-1110-A low frequency driver and a 1" (2.54cm) K-118-A titanium diaphragm compression driver mounted on a molded Tractrix Horn. Signal shall be provided to the transducers via a passive internal frequency dividing network, with a 2kHz crossover frequency. The enclosure tuning shall be dual port bass reflex.
Frequency response shall be 69Hz to 20kHz, ±4dB, with the -10dB down point at 53Hz, measured at 1 meter, half space anechoic. The dispersion angle shall be 90º x 60º nominal (refer to graph). Sensitivity shall be 95dB spl, measured at 1 meter, half space anechoic, with a 2.83V input. Power handling shall be 85 Watts (19V), to AES standards, continuous pink noise, 50Hz to 10kHz, 6dB peaks. Calculated maximum continuous output at 1 meter shall be 111dB SPL.
Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms, with a 4.1 ohm minimum at 180Hz. Full-range connections shall be made via 5-way binding posts.
A removable powder-coated aluminum grille shall be provided for protection of the transducers from tampering or damage. The enclosure shall be of UV- and weather-resistant ABS plastic, available in black or white, with dimensions of 9.5" (24.13cm) high by 15.125" (38.42cm) wide by 10.375" (26.35cm) deep.
