The little speaker with the big sound! Ideal for applications where "tight space" under-eave, wall or ceiling mounting is required. The CA-5T full range loudspeaker includes everything you need for fast and easy installation. The durable UV-resistant all-weather enclosure includes an internal multi-tap transformer to simplify hookup to any system. The C-bracket assembly attaches to the enclosure's integral "center-of-gravity balanced" threaded studs and oversized knobs, ensuring a positive position-lock. A security retainer allows for wiring to a second mounting point, guarding against dislodging or tampering.
Designed for distributed audio applications, the compact high-fidelity system is equally at home in outdoor or indoor background music and paging applications, in both commercial and recreational environments. For application flexibility, the internal multi-tap transformer includes an easily adjusted bypass switch, allowing direct full range connection for 8 ohm operation. Enclosure signal connections are accomplished through a 5-way binding post.
For efficiency and reliability, the CA-5T consist of a high power 5.25" weather-resistant woofer and a 1" polymer diaphragm compression driver on a molded Tractrix Horn. A unique feature of the 90º x 60º horn assembly is its ability to be repositioned 90º, providing selectable pattern control.
Power handling and performance efficiency are superb at 75 watts continuous and 94dB sensitivity, with a maximum output of 109dB.
The paintable ABS enclosure is available in black or white finishes, and features all stainless steel hardware and a removable aluminum powder-coated grille for years of maintenance-free duty, no matter the climate or environment.
Architectural Specifications
The CA-5T all-purpose two-way compact loudspeaker system shall include a 5.25" (13.34cm) K-1109-A woofer and a 1" (2.54cm) K-117-A polymer diaphragm compression driver mounted on a Tractrix Horn. Signal shall be provided to the transducers via a passive internal frequency dividing network, with a 2.7kHz crossover frequency. The enclosure tuning shall be dual port bass reflex.
Frequency response shall be 70Hz to 20kHz, ±4dB, with the -10dB down point at 60Hz, measured at one meter, half space anechoic. The dispersion angle shall be 90º by 60º nominal (refer to graph). Sensitivity shall be 94dB spl, measured at one meter, half space anechoic, with a 2.83V input. Power handling shall be 75 watts (17volts), to AES standards, continuous pink noise, 50Hz to 10kHz, 6dB peaks. Calculated maximum continuous output at one meter shall be 109dB spl. Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms, with a 3.8 ohm minimum at 260Hz. Full-range connections shall be made via 5-way binding posts.
A removable powder-coated aluminum grille shall be provided for protection of the transducers from tampering or damage. The enclosure shall be UV- and weather-resistant ABS plastic, available in black or white, with dimensions of 8.625" (21.9cm) high by 12" (30.48cm) wide, by 8.875" (22.54cm) deep. Net weight shall be 10 lbs. (4.54kg).
Mounting shall be via protruding stainless steel threaded studs on the side enclosure panels, mating to large external knobs for positive attachment to the C-shaped mounting bracket (included).
The system shall be a Klipsch CA-5T loudspeaker.
