New Klipsch Web Site: Stunning, Simple and Social

Premium speaker manufacturer redesigns site as part of new brand awareness campaign

New Klipsch Web Site: Stunning, Simple and Social

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 17, 2009) — It’s no secret that Klipsch has been a trusted speaker brand among audiophiles and home theater aficionados for over 60 years. But as listening preferences continue to evolve, the company is taking new steps to gain “top-of-mind” awareness among the masses, which includes the launch of a new web site.

We’re on a mission to make sure everyone has Klipsch on the ‘tip of their tongue’ when looking for premium sound—whether it comes from our luxury speakers or affordable headphones,” said Jill Escol, Klipsch marketing team leader. “Overhauling our site is just one of several marketing initiatives we’re moving forward with. The site’s name is also transitioning from klipsch.com to klipschspeakers.com, so the average buyer can better identify with what we do.”*

If you’ve visited the web site before, you’ll immediately notice a visual difference. This new online destination positions Klipsch as a modern company with a proud and longstanding heritage. “We’ve incorporated a harmonious blend of new and old imagery to illustrate how the brand looks to the future with an eye for the past,” Escol said.

The site’s improved navigation makes product searches quick and simple. For the first time, in addition to sorting products by type, visitors can sort by room size and line. “Once people come to our site, we don’t want them to lose interest because it’s too difficult to find the information they need. Therefore, we put a lot of time and effort into making the site more efficient,” Escol noted.

Due to the increased interest in social media and networking, Klipsch has added new employee blogs, including one written by the company president, interactive contests as well as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter links to the site. Plus, the Klipsch forum, which started in 1999, is now stronger than ever. With over 35,000 members, this audio enthusiast community has become a popular destination for sharing information, trouble shooting as well as venting.

“Not only do we want to give our online visitors a backstage pass into the heart and soul of the Klipsch brand through social marketing, we want to constantly provide fresh content that keeps them coming back regularly,” Escol said.

She also mentioned that the timing of the site is perfect because Klipsch recently launched several new “recession proof” products that appeal to larger audiences, including the Image S4 headphones and HD Theater 500 and 300 surround sound systems. The company also plans to launch more items this summer.
